We all know that there’s no crying in baseball.  But there are often rain outs.

It’s quite rare, however, to see a hockey game canceled due to weather.  Tonight’s scheduled match between the Bears and Baby Pens in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. has been postponed due to “heavy snowfall.” Apparently the northeastern PA hockey community cannot handle a mere foot of snow.  To the northeast here in Gotham, it’s been a winter wonderland of snow and sleet all day.

So if you were planning to settle in for John Walton’s call of tonight’s game, continuing to avoid your holiday gift buying obligations, you’ve now got one less excuse.
