Since we’re on the topic of goaltenders here –

It was Steve Mason on Saturday in Columbus blanking an admittedly exhausted Capitals team.

Next up for the Caps?  The Panthers’ Craig Anderson, who is now 4-1-3, 1.87 GAA and .948 Sv%, after a 37-save shutout of the Rangers last night in Manhattan.  (Noted, the Rangers are 25th in the league in GF/G.)

Apparently it’s already been decided:  he’ll get the start in D.C. on Tuesday.

Shockingly, the Panthers, ranked 26th in GF/G, also scored 4 goals in that game.
